Jackie Smith's Cycling to Fight Multiple Sclerosis.... Year 2

I was first diagnosed with MS in 1992 . The hardest part was the unpredictable nature of the disease — not knowing if and when I will have a relapse.
I realized that in order to fight this disease, I needed to stay as active as possible and make the most of each day. I started working out at the gym and slowly with the help of a trainer (Thank You Harold) improve my stamina and endurance. As I ride, or attempt to ride the 180 miles, On April 21-22 2007 your sponsorship will inspire me to cross the finish line!

I will be joining thousands of cyclists for the BP MS 150 Bike Tour.
Although this two-day Tour from Houston to Austin is not a race, it raises money for the race to find the cure for multiple sclerosis.

By riding 180 miles this April, I will enjoy the outdoors, make new friends and experience the ultimate cycling experience. More importantly, my efforts help the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Lone Star Chapter fund breakthrough research to find the cause, cure and treatment of MS. The chapter also provides a variety of much-needed services and programs that directly help people living with MS and their families in Texas.

I am asking friends, family members and co-workers to make a one-time, tax-deductible donation. All proceeds benefit the National MS Society’s research and chapter programs.
